Morgan D. Marruso, Psy.D.

Dr. Morgan Marruso attained her bachelor's degree at the University at Albany with a major in psychology. She earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), and then continued at PCOM for the completion of her doctorate in clinical psychology, with an informal focus in neuropsychology. Dr. Marruso then completed an APA-accredited internship through Immaculata University in Pennsylvania at Bancroft Neurorehabilitation in Southern New Jersey, an outpatient and residential treatment facility for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries; and in the Student Health Services Center at Rutgers University. Following the completion of her doctorate, she went on to complete her two- year postdoctoral residency training at Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut's medical rehabilitation.

Throughout her doctoral training, Dr. Marruso received extensive training in neuropsychology with adults with a wide range of neurological and psychiatric conditions within medical rehabilitation and hospital settings. During her internship training, Dr. Marruso received training in and provided neuropsychological evaluations for adults in the outpatient and residential neurorehabilitation treatment programs; provided individual and group cognitive rehabilitation, created treatment plans for residential patients; conducted psychotherapy and treatment planning for students enrolled at Rutgers University; and participated in multidisciplinary team rounds and consultation. In her postdoctoral residency training she provided neuropsychological services to both pediatric and adult populations, with a focus on pediatrics in her second year of specialty training. She has experience working with children and adults with a wide range of neurological (e.g., epilepsy, tumor, hydrocephalus, etc.), medical, developmental (e.g., ADHD, intellectual disability, autism, etc.), academic (e.g., learning disorders) , and psychiatric and behavioral conditions and disorders.

In addition to her work within Children’s Neuropsychological Services, Dr. Marruso also works at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY providing neuropsychological services to adults and older adults both within the hospital and on an outpatient basis.
